Facts Don’t Matter when Attacking Jews

by Reb Akiva @ Mystical Paths

Have you noticed facts don’t matter when attacking Jews?  It’s pretty consistent that attacks against Jews, Judaism and Israel have no basis and are just spewing of crazy made-up emotional garbage.

Neo-Nazi complains the Jews are bankrupting his mother (by refusing to patronize her business), threatens them

The story above is a good example of this.  This discriminatory scumbag who hates Jews, is going after the Jews of his mother’s home town because his mother’s business is having trouble…and it must be THE JOOOOOS.  So while we’ll disregard the logic of “you don’t want the Jews around but if the Jews don’t come around it’s a plot by the Jews”, it’s harder to disregard the fact that Jews have nothing to do with the boycott of his mother’s business.  Rather his mother’s business is being boycott by an organization that “is committed to co-creating a caring, open, accepting and diverse community, free from discrimination and dedicated to equal treatment & supports Campaign Against Violence, LGBT, Human Rights, and discrimination issues”.

But we wouldn’t want facts to get in the way of hate.

imageAnother good example is an internal attack from Ynet, who doesn’t let a simple matter like geography get in the way of their attack…

The Jerusalem Planning and Construction Committee will be asked to approve plans for 192 housing units in Ramat Shlomo and 136 units in Ramot—both neighborhoods in east Jerusalem.

Facts: Nobody lived there for over 100 years, prior to the formation of the modern state of Israel it was British State Land, and before that Ottoman State Land.  From 1949 – 1967, Ramot was a demilitarized zone between Israeli and Jordan.  Ramot was established in 1974.

Facts: Ramot is on the NORTH WESTERN side of Jerusalem.

Facts: Ramot contains remains of the town and burial site of the Biblical Prophet Samual, it includes a grape press from the 1st Temple era, it includes a fortress from the time of Herod and the 2nd Temple, it includes Crusader remains, and has a site with 500 year old pottery from the Ottomans.

But the Palestinians, and a Ynet & Reuters reporter, want to claim that it’s in East Jerusalem, a 42 year old neighborhood is a new settlement, and Israel and the Jewish people have no claim on the area.

Facts, annoying things to get in the way of your preconceived notions.

[I’m sure someone is going to come along and point out that “East Jerusalem” has ‘come to mean’ any part of Jerusalem that’s on the other side of a line drawn with a green marker in 1949.  Yet that was not the intention of the drawers or the agreement, PER THE ARABS… “The 1949 Armistice Agreements were clear (at Arab insistence[3]) that they were not creating permanent borders. The Egyptian–Israeli agreement, for example, stated that "the Armistice Demarcation Line is not to be construed in any sense as a political or territorial boundary, and is delineated without prejudice to rights, claims and positions of either Party to the Armistice as regards ultimate settlement of the Palestine question."[4] Therefore the use of “East Jerusalem” nowadays is purely to give the impression that the JOOOOOOOS are stealing land from poor disenfranchised Palestinians – when the FACTS show that this NORTH WESTERN hill of Jerusalem has been STATE land by the controlling authorities for over 500 years, and the current controlling authority has decided to turn it into a residential neighborhood ALMOST 50 YEARS AGO.  And calling it an EASTERN SETTLEMENT is lying in the face of the facts.]

  1. Just as you stated, the TRUTH does not matter at all. Even Law does not matter at all. That is, to the Palestinian-Arabs or to the Leftists (Israel and America). Therefore it will not be the law or the worlds vision of truth that will win in the end. It will be G-D's Divine Judgment that will set the record straight. IY"H very soon.
