Enot Zukim–Dead Sea Springs

by Reb Akiva @ Mystical Paths

Israel is incredibly beautiful, with hidden spots of all sorts all over the country.  Tiny in physical land area, Israel is rich in amazing experiences.

Enot Zukim is a series of fresh water spring pools on the edge of the Dead Sea.  This means the area is extremely hot, dry, and in this one little spot…lush.

There are 5 different spring pools, along with a small river…and two of the pools are full of fish!

In addition there’s hiking trails through the marsh (between some of the pools), as well as various camping and bbq’ing areas.  There’s also an archeological area, with the ruins of a biblical era perfume factory and personal residence.

If you’re by the Dead Sea and want to cool off…and don’t want the Dead Sea salt water experience, Enot Zukim, an Israeli national park, is worth checking out.

  1. Thank you Akiva. With all the turmoil going on in the world, it is refreshing to view your post on beautiful Eretz Yisrael. And much gratitude to HaShem for giving this land to us. Keep doing this, to counter balance that which is transpiring.
