Menorahs in Jerusalem

Many have the custom in Jerusalem to place their menorahs outside, by the door or gate or walkway.  I was in Jerusalem last night, here’s a few I saw…

This was different for me, with the shamash (service light) completely separated…

Buildings with multiple doors nearby, apartments with a common entrance, will often have menorahs clustered or near the common area…

Of course putting the menorah in the window is still a normal practice, in Jerusalem more so for those on higher floors…

Happy Chanukah from the lights of Jerusalem!
