Lag B’Omer in Meron (Night 2010)

by Reb Akiva @ Mystical Paths

The last few years I’ve had the merit to be in Meron on Lag B’Omer, at the kever of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.  Unfortunately, due to one of my children having surgery yesterday (thank G-d all went well and she’s recuperating), I won’t be there this year during the night (though maybe during the day I will).

Here’s a video I took of a past trip, this one from the night of Lag B’Omer in 2010.  Lag B’Omer in Meron is the largest Jewish event in the world, with 300,000 to 500,000 participating every year – celebrating the light and fire of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, zt”l, and his exposing the mystical secrets of the Torah.
