Photo Friday – Bar Ilan University

by Reb Akiva @ Mystical Paths

Work took me onto the Bar Ilan University campus in Givat Shmuel, Israel yesterday.  While there I took the opportunity to take some pictures.

It’s spacious and green while having good space utilization.  I was on the upper campus and got a chance to see some interesting architecture.  At Bar Ilan, Israeli architects are clearly having fun and pushing boundaries.

(If you don’t have time to look at all the pictures, please scroll to the last one for a special comment.)

The Webb College of Psychology is a warm inviting tree lined place…

The Goldman College of Computers and Engineering has that technical look…

The Rosenberg College of Music seems harmonious…

The School of Law looks very judgmental…

The Wallheim Events Center certainly has my attention…

The Dahan park in the middle is very restful…

I’d like to note a special site near the end.  As we’ve been watching events the media has termed “the Arab spring”, we’ve been getting a chance to see details of Arab countries we don’t normally see.  Along the way we’ve seen events happening at “Martyr’s Square”, “Revolution Park” and heard constant screaming for blood, revolution, and death to infidels.

How do Jews approach naming their parks and educating their young people? …
