Why is anger likened to idolatry? Because when we get angry we are blaming that person for doing what he is doing, and we are forgetting that it is really Hashem Who sent him to us. If we would remember that Hashem told him to do it then instead of getting angry at him we would ask, "Why is Hashem sending that harsh thing to me? What did I do to bring this on?"

We also know there are times that anger is necessary, to an extent. H' gave us emotions and we need to use them wisely. We know everything is from H', but we also need to act appropriately for the right reasons at the right time. People should not behave as robots but always know that they are accountable to H' and act as Jews according to Torah. We are mind and heart.
