Yesterday, a young tourist was walking through the Rova. Her dress was not modest…, not at all. In fact her blouse was so low that when she walked by you could see the boys staring at her with their eyes popping out of their heads. You could almost hear the animals inside them growling. GRHHHHHHHHH! And this is what she wanted, or she would not be dressed like that.
Almost immediately a group of soon-to-graduate, older seminary girls walked by... girls who have lived all their lives knowing that Hashem is watching over them. I happened to glance at one of the girl's faces.
(I wonder if you will believe me here, but what I am sharing with you really happened.)
The glow that precedes a revelation of Hashem's holiness, radiated…, hovered by her face. What a unique delight to see! Not only was she physically beautiful, but she represents everything holy a Jewish girl can bring into the world; Torah, mitzvahs, family, the continuation of the Jewish people…. She is actually Sarah our Mother in the world today. "A woman of valor who can find…"[i]
And not a single animal growled when she walked by.
