Equal Rights!

Equal Rights!

A Comment to my video The Jewish Woman

If G-d is everywhere equally, then why or how can one sex be lesser than the other, a very weak argument here. Women are as equal and not more or less than men, and it is patronizing as well saying you have a different role so you are treated differently.

Gutman's response:

All is one, but all is not the same. Your body is one but your left hand is not the same as your right hand. Women are better at some things and men are better at others. Each of us has been given the tools we need in order to accomplish the task we have been sent here to do. G-d judges us according to our abilities and what we do with them.

Don't know why so many seem to be simple minded and cannot understand that men and women in Judaism are equal - just have two different roles. What's so hard to understand? In true Jewish (Torah) homes, women usually have the upper hand and really rule the roost. It's the seculars who want to portray that the religious demean their women; another reason for discarding Yiddishkeit for themselves - rationalizing their abandonment of their heritage.
