It was 2:30 in the morning, a few hours after Rosh Hashanah (New Years) and Shabbos had ended. There were many hundreds of Jews at the Kotel saying the special prayers for the Ten Days of Awe…hundreds of 'Charedim still dressed in their Shabbos finery, long black coats and fur hats, and hundreds of "knitted kipah" youth dressed in their usual casual dress.
Even though they follow the same Torah, their lifestyles are so vastly different that they rarely mix in their religious or social lives. But when it comes to dancing and singing thanks to Hashem they easily join together and make beautiful music.
This is what G-d wants from us. Come together in love and sing His praises and the Redemption will be bursting at its gate.
