This gorgeous Jewish boy is celebrating his third birthday. It is a milestone in his life. He is now old enough to wear tzitzis (fringed garment), and he begins his study of Torah, the Aleph Bet. That is why he is wearing a crown, the crown of Torah. His family has a beautiful tradition for the boys to come to the Kotel on this day, and to hand out candies to the other young boys there. It is a special way to introduce a boy to the Torah, teaching him to show thanks by sharing with others.
"Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace." [i]
