When I saw this young chassid from the back, dressed for Shabbos on a weekday, I assumed that he was celebrating his first week of marriage. But when he turned around and I saw how young he was, I was really surprised. I asked him what was going on. He answered that it was his Bar Mitzvah.
While almost all of the charedim who follow this Yershalmi (Jerusalem) dress tradition begin wearing their adult garments from the time of their wedding, there are a few who begin at 13 years old.
I think he looks beautiful.
