Flowers for Shabbos

by Reb Akiva @ Mystical Paths

Color contrasts are all around us.  Sometimes small, sometimes large, a glance of the eye… if we take the time to look, can reveal the beauty constantly surrounding us.  Hashem’s creation, the small, the bright, the large, the dull.  You just have to look.

Here’s what I saw today, a golden afternoon sun, a full blue sky, and a few flowers surviving a Jerusalem winter…

Little bells, a tree flowers getting ready for spring…

A lonely rose against a blue sky and office building…

Sometimes a flower is best seen from behind…when it’s sunlit from the front…

A lonely pink one this time, keeping station until the rest return with spring…

Sometimes the key is to look really close…

Sometimes it’s further away, just out of reach…

It’s not only the flowers.  The building itself can give us a reflection of the golden light of Jerusalem, and a rainbow spectrum to set it off…

Shabbat Shalom from the Holy City in the Holy Land of Israel.
