Charity–Proven?

Give. Help. Do things greater than yourself…

I came across this recent quote from a major secular music producer….

(Producer) has one requirement for any investment: “Every deal has to have a charitable component.” A portion of (star’s) perfume sales, and the proceeds from last year’s (holiday) album, went to twenty charities… (Producer)’s reasons: “One, karma—it’s everything I stand for. Two, it is the right thing to do. And, three, it is proven that a for-profit business makes more money in the long run if it has a not-for-profit component.”

…not because it helps you, because it’s the right thing to do.  But if it is proven that charity makes you more profit, we’ll take that motivation as the starting reasons to good.
