One Rabbi’s Analysis

(From Rabbi Ariel bar Tzadok…)

imageThe choice of leaders is voiced by the people, but is decided by God.

After a long and hard election, President Barak Obama has been reelected as President of the United States.

It is our duty and responsibility to wish him well, and to pray for his continued success and well-being.

May God's chosen succeed to accomplish that which Heaven has ordained for him to do.

As faithful children of Heaven, we must pledge our support to that which God has ordained.

A course is chosen, a path is set.

Watch now as the Hand of Heaven unfolds.

"The edict is by the decree of the Watchers, and the matter is by the word of the Holy Ones; to the intent that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever he will . . ."    Daniel 4:14 (17)

I think the Rebbe said something similar about putting a ballot in the box, but Hashem decides what comes out. In Brachot, it is not written that we get the leaders we deserve?

If you lived in Iran, would you say the same?
If you lived in Russia, would you say the same?
