Down By The Sea

We stopped by Ashkelon State Park to dip our toes in the sea for Chol HaMoed.  Ashkelon State Park is just 8 miles north of Gaza (in rocket range), but is a beautiful semi-private location that’s lightly used.

Israeli beaches are just beautiful.  Clean sand, pretty water.

The last picture is flowering California iceplant, which is being used to beautify and stop some erosion by the edge of the beach.  Only in Israel do you find top plants from all over the world being cultivated.
