Rebbe Shimon's Promise
by Rav Nati @ Mystical Paths
"In the future, when Am Yisrael (the nation-people of Israel) will merit to taste from the Tree of Life which is this book of the Zohar, they will be redeemed from their exile in mercy" (Zohar parashat Nasso).
Therefore, the best advice to sweeten the birth pains before the coming of the Moshiach is to read the holy Zohar. It is fitting to be read by men, women and children and it has the ability to purify the body and soul as well as cancel any harsh decrees that may be upon Am Yisrael, even if one does not understand a word they are reading.
Rebbe Shimon (bar Yochai) is fitting to be relied upon in a time of great need.
- Reb Akiva adds… Tikkunei Zohar is the Holy Zohar more filtered for general audiences. Further, the foundational works of Chassidus specifically teach many of the concepts and words of the Zohar especially presented for all. Most hold that directly learning the Zohar should be only for those who have an excellent foundation in the revealed Torah and have reached levels of maturity. If you’re not sure whether it’s appropriate for you, consult a competent orthodox rabbi and/or learn chassidus.
