Religious Thugs Collecting in the U.S.A.

A number of reports have been published in the Jewish religious press about the activities of a group of zealots / ultra-orthodox chassidic-like charedi THUGS (called the Sikrikim). These people have assaulted little girls going to a school they don’t like (and are still doing) in Ramat Beit Shemesh, damaged stores that don’t agree with whatever stringency they wish to apply in Jerusalem, and police reports involve actual physical attacks.

They may dress the part of ultra-orthodox charedim and chassidic Jews and even attend an institute of advanced Torah studies (a kollel), but their actions directly and forcefully contravene the most basic foundational Torah concepts.

imageTwo leaders of the Sikrikim (charedi zealots/thugs) left Israel for the United States today to collect money for their continued efforts in Meah Shearim, Jerusalem and Ramat Bet Shemesh (Israel).

Their names are Avraham Hirschman and Shalom Baruch Rost/Rust.  (Pictured left is Avraham Hirschman according to Ynetnews.)

Assuming you do not support the activities of these sikrikim (thugs dressed as ultra-orthodox Jews performing extremist violent actions), do not give them money!

They may say they are collecting for their kollel (yeshiva or advanced Torah institute), for hachnassat kallah (helping needy Jewish brides afford a wedding and to set up their new home), a major surgery someone needs or whatever.

Whatever they say they are collecting for, they are collecting to fund their future (extremist violent) activities.

(Pictured below is Shalom Baruch Rost being arrested in Jerusalem according to B’charedi.)

Akiva Until you have a passak from a beis din you should be very careful not to spread lashaon harah, we do not know if the pictures are the real people, or not.

ok that said, we have to judge our fellow Jew on the side of merit, but the men involved in these acts need to to be brought to a beis din and not to the goyish police and with that they should be restrained from being able to continue their actions.

but the key here is education, of Torrence, and also to the mildly religious to strengthen their levels of observance. both sides need to grow up! but the real "devil" here is the local government not have the for sight to build a separation device a park or some other break between the neighborhoods, they were blinded be greed and lack of love for their fellow by putting school in jeopardy by extending the building of the cheredi homes to the very fence of the school.

both sides need to come to the local government a get them to settle the issue. But has any woman from the frum side gone and tried to or volunteered to educate this little girls in modesty or has their been any type of forum for the women to be taught not to look like Beverly-hills street walkers. "This is the Holy land for Hashem's sakes", they should dress at least in a modest fashion. and the men should be restrained from coming close to them.

where are the volunteers to help here, figure out how to help instead of just basing one side and please do not over sensationalize this

it's over blown my friend

Nati, you sure love to control everyone and everything. Truly reminds me of why we had to leave Egypt. Akiva needs a pasak from the beit din, you have got to be kidding, sadly though you are not. Control, control, control. The Jewish nation is in real trouble if this is the direction you are trying to take it.

Most certainly the 'goyish' police are problematic at times, but so are the lovers of control.

Thank God Akiva is speaking up.

Annon, why are you afraid to use your name. If you want to attack my beliefs in the Torah of Moshe and the Tanach as being scripture, then do so. If you hate it that it bothers me that the rabbi's added to the Torah then fine. The you should also hate those who nulified the Torah for a pagan-man-god lie of which you are accusing me of. In the end you will see how religion, whether it be rabbinical Judaism, xtianity or others have strayed far from the scripture of the Torah and Tanach thus causing our long exile.

You wrote:
I was wondering why you were chastising someone for writing lashon hara while at the same time characterizing One side in RMBS as "frum" and the other "mildly religious."?

You also wrote that the "frum" side should educate the little girls in modesty.

Perhaps it's the opposite, that the "frum" side should be taught the extent to which rules of modesty are based on community standards (the standard of their own Rabbonim, not someone else's).

I don't know who you are, as I came to this blog through another link, but you certainly sound like an extremely self-righteous and judgmental person.

As for referring to saying that the "less religious" women look like "Beverly-hills street walkers," that is beyond despicable -- especially when coming from someone who seeks to "educate" them.
