Menorah's For Sale
Photos by Reb Akiva at Mystical Paths
A walk up the street at the edge of Meah Shearim, Jerusalem, finds menorahs (or chanukiyot in Hebrew) for sale...
Clearance, 40% off, get the last while they last...
Every shape and size...
Office menorah?
Putting your menorah outside on your doorpost (literally) is the custom in Jerusalem and many other cities in Israel, for which you need a menorah in a box...
And if you've got your own menorah, just buy the box...
Coca-Cola and Orange Cellphones are advertising for the holiday...
Traditional silver menorahs are a favorite, for those who can afford it...
Happy Chanukah from the Holy City.

Just so love those pics, esp the first one.
[i thought men walk on one side and women on the other? on second look, don't see any women? :-) ]
Right in the front middle, by the curb is a man and woman couple. The woman is wearing a black head covering.
You've been listening to BS, misinterpretations and generalizations. This is the WIDE part of Meah Shearim. During Chol HaMoed Succot, in the NARROW part, when tens of thousands of visitors come to join the Simchas Beis HaShoeva celebrations - THEN they segregate the streets. One week during the whole year. And it makes sense, as a religious man I don't want to be rubbing through a mixed crowd.
I remember the area.
It's hard to express "tongue in cheek" (jesting) comments, but i triiiiiiiiied.
SMILE!
