Most Entertaining Elections Ever

by Reb Akiva at Mystical Paths

Israeli election day...

Shas tells me if I'm for G-d, vote for them.

United Torah Judaism tells me if I'm religious, there is no other choice.

National Union (settler/zionist land-of-Israel party) has sent an election monitor to the central Israeli Arab town.

Ra'am Tal (United Arab List) has sent an election monitor to Bet El (in the West Bank).

Ashkenazi Gedolim say you must vote United Torah Judaism or you're not religious. Sephardi Gedolim say you must vote Shas or you're not for G-d, and say that if you vote for Israel Our Home you are voting for THE DEVIL. Chabad Rabbonim say you should vote for National Union (zionist/settler/national religious), as they are closest to the Rebbe's words on the Land of Israel, and have the blessings of at least 1 charedi gadol. Israel Our Home says they want Israel's government religious institutions under the control of the national religious!

The Holocaust Survivors party says they want to legalize marijuana, the Marijuana Party wants to increase pensions for holocaust survivors. The Greens Party wants to support the Ministry of Religion, and the Religious Balance Party supports environmental concerns as being required by the Torah.

The major right wing party wants to form a government with the major left wing party and is talking left wing, while the left wing peacenik party ran the last war in Gaza. And the centrist party seems to have lost on all issues and is only running on their candidate being a women, though she's consistently voted against all feminist and equal rights legislation over her whole political career!

All I can say is...most entertaining elections ever!

May Hashem grant the resulting leaders wisdom to bring Israel peace and safety, and closer to Torah and Hashem.

Hey, Welcome aboard !!
Definetely, these elections are more oring than interesting... People here are fed up with Barak and Bibi, that both have been PM during the last 15 years. That's the reason why Liberman will get so many seats. I foresee:
Likoud 28
Kadima 21
Liberman 20
Avoda 17
Shass 12
Meretz 5
UTJ (Gimel): 5
Ihoud HaLeoumi 4
Bait Yehoudi - under 2% no seats
arabs 8

Therefore, Bibi will manage a secular Likoud-Avoda-Liberman coalition, with 65 deputies and no need to bring in religious parties...
Hopefully, I'll be wrong...

Speculation is bitul torah. period.

IMO, these elections have been the most boring. The 'election war' was successful at getting a few more seats for Labour and to reduce Bibi's seats. A totally unexpected result of the reduction of Bibi's seats was sending them to Lieberman. The left and the media did not see that happening and this is their major failure.

The war put all the campaigns on hold and none really lifted off over the past three weeks either. I'm not aware that there were even any 'issues'. Are you? The main issue should have been the economy. Was it? no.

Reminder: The election occurred only because an allegedly corrupt Prime Minister resigned.

CFR Netanyahu is all talk and no action when it comes to loving and preserving the Jewish homeland. He cannot be trusted! He's proven it. Bibi failed to make Oslo null and void, Bibi surrendered Hevron, and most wickedly - Bibi failed to open the Temple Mount to *Jewish worship as he said he would! Don't get chummy with Bibi because he'll stab Israel in the back! Go for Ketzaleh.

*Benjamin Netanyahu: "The right of the Jewish people to its holy place - the Temple Mount - cannot be questioned...I believe it is necessary to arrange for Jewish prayer on the site, especially given that we permit freedom of worship to all the religions in Jerusalem...". And his office charged Palestinian officials with "disparaging Jewish holy sites and threatening potential worshippers" (in flagrant violation of Israel's 1967 Law for the Protection of the Holy Places and the Oslo Accords). His deputy director of communications, Michael Freund, responded to the PA mufti's declaration of war (that Jews "...must absolutely forget about having any rights over the Temple Mount...the Western Wall is just a fence belonging to a Muslim holy site") by saying "these statements are repugnant and they betray a contempt for Judaism's most sacred sites and beliefs. They are an affront to history and insulting to Jews everywhere."

Sorry, wrong place for a debate on an obscure Jewish-or-not replacement topic not related to this post or this blog.

P.M. Binyamin has mastered Hasbara and when it comes to Tshuva, he will communicate the importance of maintaining Israel's security and their right to self-defense. Binyamin has proven Amerikkka-Magog-Urabia-United Nada cannot be trusted. Get chummy with BeBe because he'll stab Amerikkka-Magog-Urabia-United Nada like a red heifer.
