Update to Important Warning
by Nava at Mystical Paths
On the recent post Important Warning, I posted a psak din, a halachic ruling, from the Beis Din of Antwerp, stating that they were forbidding their community from following the common custom of carrying packages for another while traveling internationally.
It is common custom for Jewish travelers to help each other during travel. However, in the past year there's been a number of incidents where such help for your fellow has begun to be taken advantage of by unscrupulous individuals (from within the religious Jewish community), resulting in the package carrier unintentionally violating the law and suffering the consequences.
For a Beis Din, a religious community court, to come out with such a ruling makes a lot of sense. However, I just read that the Belz Bet Din in Antwerp did NOT sign a psak din (judgment) prohibiting accepting packages. Rather, the signatures were forged!
So many lies and it's becoming more and more difficult to weed them out. Chasdei Shamayim, it's all good signs that Moshiach is REALLY REALLY close!!!!!!!!!!!
