The King of Persia

by Reb Akiva at Mystical Paths

I had previously posted from Sefer Midrash Eliyahu about the King of Persia coming to Rome 3 times, along with 3 visit dates of Persian (Iranian) President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the United Nations in New York, 3 years in a row. The Midrash follows by saying that he will revolt 12 months later. Iranian news announced today that the president will be returning to the UN again, for this year's General Assembly...

Sefer Midrash Eliyahu - The last king in Persia will go to Rome three years, one after the other, until he revolts against it 12 months, and three heroes of war are going against him from the sea, and they will be handed over to him. A very low king, son of a servant, Gigit, will go against him from the sea, and these will be his signs that Daniel [the biblical prophet] saw in him: his face long, between his eyes height(?) (eyebrows?), and he is very tall, and his feet are tall, and his legs are thin.

News Report: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on (Iranian) state television that he would again go to New York to attend this year’s United Nations General Assembly session. It will be Ahmadinejad’s third trip to New York since his presidency in August 2005. This year's meeting will be held on July 18 at the UN Headquarters in New York City.

Now this news quote is strange, for in doing some digging I find 3 existing dates when he visited the UN, this new one being his fourth. Either the first date was before he assumed his new office, or the news reports have it wrong...

- Ahmadinejad visited New York, the UN, on September 17, 2005.
- Ahmadinejad visited New York, the UN, on September 20, 2006.
- Ahmadinejad visited New York, the UN, on September 26, 2007.

So, it appears on this Friday the Nasi of Persia will attend Rome once more. Is this the 3rd visit as the news reports state, or the 4th visit after which will follow his "revolt" (by September, Rosh Hashana time)?

i wonder what he's going to say at the un. "Hi it's me again and i'm powerful", "do you like my new jacket ?" Why waste a trip for that ?!

Do we know who this person is???

Mr Ahmadinejad is not a tall man. Infact - he is quite short. Granted that there are problems stemming from Persia/Iran but this description doesnt match him at all. Maybe he will return to Rome every year and perhaps on the 3rd occasion it will be a different leader of Iran whos a bit taller? But all this is is speculation.
Im shocked to read about the prisoner swap that took place recently and apparently so was the Rabbi who inspected the bodies of the dead soldiers. Were they deliberatelly mutilated? May HaShem judge Hezbulla and all their supporters!

what we need is a picture of all leaders and then we'll find which one is up next.

honestly... achmedenijad is a dangerous guy with dangerous ideas. But NOWHERE is it written that there will be no Jewish nation, that it will be utterly destroyed... Nowhere. So Fear not. We have Avinu she ba sahmayim on our side and a nuke, cant hold a candle to HIM!

Fear not.
