Logic for Our Times
by Aharon Hoffman at Mystical Paths
And the world calls this kosher...
A majority of Palestinian Arabs support continued rocket attacks on southern Israel as a means of extracting further concessions in peace negotiations, which they also support.
This says in their minds, rocket attacks are part of/compatible with peace negotiations.....so if I read this right, if we carpet bomb them that is a legitimate bargaining tactic, tacitly agreed to by the international community, even in their own and everyone else's eyes? Does such equality exist? Hardly. This alone should be Israel's response: We should bomb them into submission - since everyone accepts this as legit for the Arabs.
According to the results of a poll..., 56 percent of Palestinians in Gaza and Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) want the terrorists among them to continue pounding Israelis with rockets and mortars.
Does this mean that if we kill no more than 56% of them we would be doing "due diliegence" in not harming the 44% who do not and hence not "acting disporportionately"?
At the same time, 58 percent said they back the resumption of direct peace negotiations.
Could this get more absurd?
