This is a great story. I know Arthur Du Mosch about 15 years now. And of course there are leopards living in Israel all the way up to En Gedi. They just live in the desert and eat the gazelles of some of the many other small varmits. Arthur has been a nature person ALL of his life. He knows every bug, animal, plant, and bird in the Negev. It is also a plus that he knows the Bible and the history of the place. Call him up for a tour and you will be very happy with the adventure. Caution, he makes a joke out of shaking hands with you because he has very strong hands.
The leopard didn't have a chance.
I've always been amazed at the environment habitats in Israel. Mountains, lake, ocean, plains, each a different world. Haifa, Tzfat, Teveria, Ariel, Jerusalem, Cesaria, Netanya, each a different habitat. But I've never had the opportunity to head far south, to Ein Geidi, Be'er Sheva, the Negev. Apparently there's yet another completely different world down there.
