Yes Yes No No

by Akiva at Mystical Paths

We await his coming every day. We don't need signs for that, but when there are signs we take notice. But we also note that there's been signs in the past...

AK commented...Zohar I Vayera 119a: In the year 5760 or at the end of the year 5760, the G-d of heaven will visit the daughter of Yakov with a preliminary remembrance. Another 6 1/2 years will then elapse, and there will be a full remembrance of her. In the year 66, Mashiach will appear in the land of the Galil, a star in the east will swallow 7 stars in the north, and a flame of black fire will hang in the Heaven for sixty days, and there shall be wars toward the north in which 2 kings shall perish....

This Pesach is 6 1/2 years since the "60th year" if 5760 is the 60th (several mekubaliem have said they think it is), not 9/11. This lines of the full rememberance mentioned in the zohar.

The original commentor, BlessedtobeYerushalmi added this...

The timeframe seems to be pointing to Rosh Chodesh Nissan. KEEP QUIET and watch and make your preparations.

I wish I had nevua so I could be more definite, but the uncertainty is part of the test. What can I say?

I will try to help as much as I can, with the understanding that I will not tell anyone what they should do. Only YOU can make that decision and take the responsibility for it with the help of HKB"H. Many of you have already been thinking on these lines before I said anything here. Once you have decided, I will try to help from my end.

It would seem to be rather easy to keep quiet about that which I don't know.

Yitz writes...

My nephew (who's all of 4 and a half) says Moshiah is coming on Pesach. (He's a very unusual child.)

There's a sefer from 1,000 years ago called Nevuos HaYeled, prophecies from a child about a young child who suddenly started telling his parents a series of dreams that seemed to be prophecy. Much of those prophecies seem to relate to modern events, so prophecy from children is not unknown.

And, Hate To Be a Skeptic But (Moshe) wrote...

Do the people who post this site realize that other people reading this site will be waiting with excitement and anticipation. What should happen if a symbol is not shown during that time? What will become of their beliefs?

Indeed, the Lubavitcher Rebbe said that Moshiach is here and we must reveal him with our own eyes, but giving a Keitz, that's a very bold thing to do. It's very gutsy and risky. What should happen if you are wrong? What should happen to all of your readers? Also, who is quoting this statement? And what is their source.

I don't mean to pour cold water on the reality of Moshiach, I myself am hanging on to any gleam of hope. Please, prove me wrong.

Moshe's right. These are speculations, hints and occasionally dreams. These are not the words or direction of the gedolei Torah, the Torah leaders of our generation, nor confirmations of biblical prophecy. We hope and pray that they are true, that Moshiach is here and the geulah is immanent.

But we don't know.
