Illegally Entering The Kever of a Tzaddik

Breslov Chassidim understand emunah. There are no obstacles, merely barriers to be surpassed.

Kever Yosef, the Tomb of Joseph The Righteouts, son of Jacob our forefather, is located in the city of Shechem (Nablus). Access to this very holy Jewish site is guaranteed, in theory. However, some years ago during the beginning of the current Intifada, this holy site was overrun by maurading Arabs who murdered two people, burned the holy site to the ground, and proclaimed it a mosque.

Today, there is no access to this holy burned out shrine. However, monthy, on Rosh Chodesh, groups of chassidim risk their lives walking through the city of Shechem to arrive at this holy site and pray. These chassidim walk through a town of 300,000 Arabs without weapons, with only their tzitzit and tehillim (their prayer fringers and books of psalms), without escort or army protection, on their way to the holy site.

These holy chassidim have, Baruch Hashem (Thank G-d), never been attacked or molested by the Arabs.

But today, on Rosh Chodesh Elul, they were violently and suddenly removed by...the erev rov forces of Israel. "They were charged will illegally entering the site, located in Shechem."

Today, in Israel, it is illegal for the decendents of Joseph HaTzaddik to visit his holy site.
