A story is told of the great and holy rabbi, Rabbi Moshe Feinstein, zt"l, a major figure of the previous generation among orthodox Jewish America...
A student once came and asked him, is it true it's a segulah (an action or activity that brings a positive spiritual influence for an outcome) for shalom bayis (peace in the home between husband and wife) to fold your tallis (Jewish prayer shawl worn by men) right after Shabbos? (This is a commonly held belief.)
Rabbi Feinstein is said to have answered, "I don't know if folding your tallis right after Shabbos is, but helping with the dishes definately is!"
...After I finish helping my wife get everything back under control after the holiday (Shavuos was Sunday night through Tuesday night), I hope to get back to posting!
