Gog? With 3 little words?

For a long time I've been following and posting, on this blog, articles and research that shows that the world will suddenly and quickly begin to change as Gog of MaGog suddenly reveals himself. The prophecies and commentaries state this will be a surprise, a shock, someone who will have been a major supporter will suddenly turn around, a friend will be drawn to the wrong path and cause great trouble.

For Israel, and Justice (a blog) points to an article on WorldNetDaily, where the author points out the U.S. declares the end of Israel. No, this is not a joke.

The President of the United States of America, Gog Bush (sorry, I meant George Bush), declared:

(supporting sources at the end)

"Any final status agreement must be reached between the two parties, and changes to the 1949 Armistice lines must be mutually agreed to. A viable two-state solution must ensure contiguity of the West Bank, and a state of scattered territories will not work. There must also be meaningful linkages between the West Bank and Gaza. This is the position of the United States today, it will be the position of the United States at the time of final status negotiations.

As the author of the WorldNetDaily article states,

"Connecting the West Bank and Gaza effectively cuts Israel in half, making Israel a "state of scattered territories" instead. Such a border arrangement renders Israel totally indefensible...

To my horror, this statement is the greatest betrayal of Israel committed by any American president in history.

It nearly knocked me out of my chair when I considered the implications of Bush's statement. After considering them, I waited for a clarification. I thought, "Surely this president could not have meant what he said. It has to be a mistake."

To my great misfortune, it appears that Gog has declared himself. I am not a Godol (a Torah great) or a leader, just an average guy reading prophecies and the news. Other sages and men wiser than me have declared that the horrible bloody prophecies are over, that Hitler (may his name be erased!) has fulfilled them (see statements by the Lubavitcher Rebbe and from Rabbi Brody's mentor on the Lazer Beams blog). This may, and I certainly hope and pray, be so.

But clearly the times of our troubles are not over, and while the battle in which Moshiach (the righteous redeemer) arises hopefully will not be a giant bloody one, but rather a political and bloodless one, nevertheless it seems to be coming, soon.
